David's department very kindly organized a surprise lunch to celebrate his birthday. Most of the work was done by Regina, the Finance department's secretary, as she catered the lunch and prepared an array of delicious dishes like fried chicken, satay, noodles, fish and soup. David's department gave him two electronic devices for his birthday - a head massager and a shoulder massager. Both devices will definitely come in handy. On David's actual birthday, we were in Beijing and had a really nice meal at The Meat and Wine Company Steakhouse. This steakhouse chain was established in 2000 by two South African restaurateurs and has branches in Australia, Middle East, South Africa, Israel, UK and Asia. We had a meal at their branch in Sydney and enjoyed it so much that David wanted to go back for another meal - what better occasion than to celebrate his birthday !
